Granny and Grandpa gave Beck a Salamander sprinkler two weeks ago, just before we were hit with a cold spell. So, for the first couple of weeks, Beck just carried the blown up Salamander around with him and even slept with him. If we removed Salamander from his bed, he'd wake up in the night upset and come into our asking where Salamader went! One night while checking on him before going to bed ourselves, we noticed Beck had found an old binky clip in one of his drawers (the one with the little wooden beads that Eden's mom bought Beck, many of you will remember it well). He had his binky in his mouth, the loop wrapped around Binky, and the clip snapped onto Salamander's tail! If I hadn't been laughing so hard, I might have thought of taking a picture of that sight!
Finally today was hot enough to turn a sprinkler on again, so I hooked Salamander up to the hose. Even though we had told Beck that Salamander was really a sprinkler, he was still shocked and then delighted to see water spraying out of his back!
Thankfully he hasn't asked to bring Salamander back into his bed again!
