Going to Grandma and Grandpa's House!

Beck was very excited to go to Grandma and Grandpa Stewart's house this weekend.  It would mean a 5 hour drive, but with a suitcase full of toys, transformers and DVDs, even the trip would be fun for this happy little guy!

Beck was really trying NOT to smile in this picture, which makes it even cuter!

Lindsay Hugs

Lindsay and Beck were like two peas in a pod this weekend.  They were inseparable, and Beck loved every minute of it!

Flying Kites

Grandma and Grandpa bought all the kids fantastic kites to fly while we were there visiting this weekend.  We went to the largest hill in the largest park and tried to catch what little wind there was that day.  As long as we did lots of running, the kites stayed up for a few minutes.  We can't wait for a windy day so we can try ours out again.

Kite flying can be frustrating:

Bath Time?

Ah, the joys of sitting in a mud puddle on a hot Alberta evening. I hate to admit it, but I know this feeling well. I'll explain below...

Yes, like mother, like son!

I'm the one on the left painting her legs in mud! Unfortunately, the location of our mud bath was right at a bus stop, at the after work rush hour! The bus couldn't stop because we were, ahem, bathing, so it had to pull ahead, much to the amusement of all the commuters and the embarrassment of my parents (and Nikky's parents, my partner in crime still to this day!)

Splish Splash!

When Beck was playing in the mud puddle, our neighbour, Sasha came out to play on his Bike. Sasha loves Beck, and likes to pretend he's his little brother, it's very cute! Beck was begging Sasha to ride his bike through the puddle and splash him. What you can't see in the first picture is Beck was jumping up and down and saying "Come On Sasha!" We said it was okay (he was soaked anyway), and boy did they have fun! "Again Sasha, again" was all we heard a long time!

Soccer with Daddy

Thanks Coaches!

Beck has two of the best soccer coaches around. They are patient, fun, encouraging, and just want the kids to have fun, regardless of whether it looks like soccer or not. And he adores them! Thanks guys!
